Guillaume was born Guillaume Vanosmael on 13th May 1892 at Tirlemont, Belgium, son of Charles Vanosmael and his wife Marie Genevieve.
Mathilde was born Mathilde Emerence Vanosmael on 18th February 1885 at Tirlemont, Belgium, daughter of Louis Felix Vanosmael and his wife Jeanne. Guillaume and Mathilde were distant cousins.
Lucie was born to Guillaume and Mathilde Vanosmael on 10th January 1925 in Schaerbeek, Belgium. She married Frank Berry at the end of the war and moved to England. Lucie and Frank divorced until about fifteen years later when she finally met David Bruce who became her second husband on 4th June 1978. Lucie has three children, John, Ann and Peter (given in age order).
